  • Set up systems to monitor and report on the quality of the club’s products and services, including member and visitor satisfaction.
  • Coordinate the development of the club’s long range and annual (business) plans, together with the Board, to ensure the clubs sustainability.
  • Prepare budgets for presentation to and approval by the Board, taking account of the approved long terms strategies.
  • Monitors and report on monthly performance by preparing monthly management accounts with relevant operational detail for presentation to the Board.
  • Ensure constructive and active relationship and engagement with the Greenkeeper and his structure to ensure that there is effective co-ordination.
  • Develop marketing programs to meet the budget targets for new members, corporate golf days and member and visitor rounds. This includes (newsletters, website, Facebook, Instagram)
  • Engage with members to ensure positive club experience, deal with any complaints and membership queries Ensure that food and beverage, and another club service meet required benchmarks.
  • Control all purchasing activities, outside of the course maintenance requirements, to meet benchmarks and budget.

East London Golf Club currently has a vacancy for a Golf Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the below;

  • To assist with managing the operations and staff of the Golf Department in accordance with current legislation.
  • With due regard to the Club’s Marketing Plan, assist with the development of suitable initiatives to promote and market the Club’s facilities, to the local, national and international market.
  • To ensure that the Golf Department, whilst meeting the said objectives, operates as an efficient business unit, in all aspects and in accordance with the SDP supported by the annual budget.
  • To remain up to date with all current developments in the golf industry and to apply these where applicable.
  • Assists the Director of Golf with the preparation and management of the annual golf calendar with the aim of maximizing revenue while taking into consideration members’ rights to use the course
